My name is Jeff Suggs and I am in the overspray removal business, and have been for over 23 years. I specialize in the removal of industrial paint overspray from vehicles. My company deals with such products as Protective & Marine coatings and also Polyurethane spray foam. I mention these products because I just repaired over 300 hundred vehicles from industrial paint overspray for Joe Holland Chevrolet & Imports. I had an opportunity to test drive several Chevy Volts. I was impressed with how fast the Volt reached hwy speeds. The new high-tech lithium batteries at full charge allow you to drive without the use of one drop of fuel for up to 40 miles. This all depends on your driving habits. If you are a lead foot and start off very fast from red lights, then you will use your battery’s charge up much faster than slow starts.
Another high-tech new feature for the Volt is their on board 55KW gas generator that produces electricity while you drive. You won’t start using your fuel till you step on the gas for higher speeds. This allows you to use gas and electricity while getting up to 375 miles to a full tank. Keep in mind that you can also go green and run this vehicle on its Lithium batteries, which have no memory to them. This means they don’t have to be fully drained to receive a full charge. I have driven thousands of vehicles in my business of repairing them from overspray damage. I visit a lot of dealerships every year, which puts me behind the wheel of new American & Import vehicles of all makes and models. I can tell you from my personal driving experience, this is a great ride. I really like the tinted glass on the roof, and the inside is very nice and roomy.
The instrument panel has all the workings of the electric motor and very nicely displayed. The only down side is, it takes ten hours to fully charge using either 120 v plug or 240 v outlet. You have to wait awhile for it to charge, but a least you’re not paying for fuel when its four dollars a gallon. Its a nice feeling to drive and not have to pay for fuel at four dollars a gallon. Check out the overspray removal repair videos of the Chevy Volt below. I not only removed the overspray, but also restored the clear-coat of every vehicle back to factory conditions. This is not part of the overspray removal process, but its my part of helping my customers keep their vehicle’s exterior looking great. http://www.paintoversprayremovaloftexas.com/
